Modi to meet French President in Paris

PARIS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Paris on his final leg of his six-day visit to Europe. During his visit, Modi is slated to call upon the newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron here.
Earlier during the day, Modi for the first time, attended the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum—an annual business and economic event.
The forum was hosted by the Russian President. Besides, he also attended a combined meeting of Russian Governors of 16 regions.
During his visit to Russia, Modi dropped in on Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary Genera,l Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern, and Tigran Sargasyan, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Union.
He visited Germany and Madrid in Spain on Tuesday before his tour to Russia. Modi is the first Prime Minister of India to visit to Spain since 1988.
His visit to Spain was aimed at firming up India-Spain bilateral ties, boost economic engagement and attract investments in India.
